This interactive workshop, created in association with the Lyric theatre, explores ways to access and engage with Shakespeare in the classroom using a series of practical-based exercises that focus on overcoming the linguistic and thematic challenges presented in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Hosted by Marilyn Rice, Producer of Education at the Lyric Hammersmith, and led by Workshop Director Toby Clarke, this invaluable resource introduces the worlds and characters of the play through movement, music and improvised exchanges, encouraging students to develop their own ideas and connect Shakespeare’s classic text to contemporary culture.
