"I don’t see why a maid should take a husband when she’s bold enough to fight her own battles.”
Far from the Madding Crowd is the story of Bathsheba Everdene who, after inheriting her uncle’s farm, finds herself a mistress in a man’s world.
This classic novel was adapted for the English Touring Theatre by Mark Healy and uses a large ensemble cast, live music, inventive choreography and energetic staging to bring the story to life. Captured by Digital Theatre live at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, the production was directed by Kate Saxon with music by Gary Yershon.
