Liverpool Everyman Youth Theatre alumnus David Morrissey returned to the iconic venue to take on the title role in Macbeth.
Morrissey recalls his early forays into acting at the Everyman Youth Theatre and describes how he got to grips with the character of Macbeth. He considers some of the play’s biggest speeches – including ‘If it were done’ and ‘Is this a dagger’ – and explains why time and tempo are so important in Shakespeare’s shortest tragedy.
