This week (17 to 23 March 2014) is Shakespeare Week; a new national, annual celebration to bring Shakespeare to life vividly for millions of primary school children.
Shakespeare Week, an initiative of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, is being celebrated in schools, theatres, historic sites, museums, galleries, cinemas, and libraries all over the UK. Together with their partners, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust hopes Shakespeare Week will give every child the chance to be inspired by Shakespeare’s stories, language and heritage.
Digital Theatre Plus is thrilled to be involved in the celebration as a partner. During the week, we are offering all participating primary schools free access to our rich library of Shakespeare productions and related resources. Schools will have complete access to the full-length productions, which can be screened at your school at any time during the week.
