We are thrilled to inform you all that Digital Theatre Plus is now available for homeschoolers in the USA.
We've partnered with the Homeschool Buyers Co-op so that learners at home will now be able to purchase subscriptions to all of our resources.
It’s an important step for Digital Theatre Plus, as we continue to expand and improve the ways that students everywhere are able to access high-quality theatre regardless of geographic, social or financial circumstances.
The Homeschool Buyers Co-op (Co-op) is America's largest purchasing cooperative for families educating with a homeschool curriculum. Like us, they are experts in their field and have over 98,000 homeschoolers as part of their community.
Annual subscriptions will cost just $75 through the Co-op enabling those learners to watch productions such as Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing starring David Tennant, Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House and Macbeth starring David Morrissey, as well as a whole host of other fantastic classic and musical productions.
Accompanying productions is an extensive library of interviews and documentaries, revealing how actors and creatives transform text on the page to live theatrical productions on the stage.
As well as all of this, homeschoolers will be able to view our unique set of filmed workshops - Shakespeare in your Space - so that from home they too can practically explore the world of the play text.
“We have developed a reputation for offering the finest educational curriculum at the most affordable prices,” says Brett Walter, President of the Co-op, “and are pleased to make Digital Theatre Plus available to our worldwide membership.”
Fiona Lindsay, Creative Producer of Digital Theatre Plus, adds "Using our expertise and digital reach we can provide a full education programme to young people all over the world that enriches their cultural awareness and that offers a rounded education. We’re thrilled to be collaborating with the Home School Buyers Co-op in our ambition to provide young people with the best access to an exciting and relevant theatre learning experience".
Digital Theatre Plus also plans to bring access for homeschoolers in the UK in the near future, so stay tuned for updates.
