Digital Theatre Plus were thrilled to be in attendance at the Theatre Library Association (TLA) and SIBMAS conference in New York City.

TLA promotes professional best practices in acquisition, organization, access and preservation of performing arts resources in libraries, archives, museums, private collections, and the digital environment. SIBMAS is the international network of cultural heritage in the performing arts, gathering individuals and institutions documenting theatre, dance, film, opera, circus and puppetry.

The three day conference covered a range of topics including dance preservation, digital humanities and databases of digitised work.

Delegates came from across the globe from prestigious organisations such as the Harvard Theatre Collection, MIT Hyperstudio, Cirque du Soleil, Victoria & Albert Museum, Comédie-Francaise and the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

At the event, Digital Theatre's CEO Robert Delamere was invited to present a selection of our work as part of a panel on the topic of Recording Live Performance alongside other organisations doing work in this area, including the Metropolitan Opera. Robert shared with attendees some insight into the work that goes on 'behind-the-scenes' as we capture and produce our films. A preview trailer that was created for this event is now available to watch.
