Arthur Miller (17 October 1915 - 10 February 2005) is considered one of the greatest American playwrights of the 20th century. The Tony Award-winning writer is best known for his modern tragedies such as Death of a Salesman and The Crucible, which were characterized by their interrogation of the nature of the American dream in post-war society.
