"A sad tale’s best for winter.”
Adapted by Frank Cottrell Boyce and Carl Hunter from William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, this short film uses sprawling beach landscapes and Antony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ sculptures in its bleak reimagining of the play.
Shakespeare Lives, funded by the British Council, took place in 2016 to commemorate 400 years since Shakespeare’s death. The global celebration encompassed film, theatre, dance and literature.
