Supporting the Extended Essay

The extensive DT+ library is a safe and relevant space for students to begin formulating their research questions, with historical biographies available for several texts and topics.

Students can analyse their chosen topic from multiple angles, evaluating it against different theories and world views, and referencing its' application in theatrical productions.

Inspire students to aim for high-level marks through example essays written by academic experts across English and the Performing Arts.

No matter their research topic, keeping your class acquainted with the arts will allow soft skill development to filter into the process.

Unlock core presentation skills through e-learning videos, and run through practitioner-led theatre workshops to build confidence and communication skills.

Facilitating CAS Activities

From weekly production screenings, to a discussion-focused Theatre Group, to putting on a play of their own, your students will have access to any range of creative activity through Digital Theatre+.

Motivate your students to keep their bodies moving with Frantic Assembly's safe, fun, and effective series of warm-up workshops.

Inspire your students to make a positive impact through the Applied Theatre collection, a series of materials where theatre is used to address social issues and promote change.

Allow students to holistically prioritise their well-being through 24/7, independent access to a platform that houses diverse productions, recitals, and critical thoughts about what each piece of art might be trying to say.

"We use Digital Theatre+ across three primary subject areas: IB Theatre at all key stages, English at all key stages, and ICE (our own bespoke curriculum enrichment programme).

We are able to watch, discuss, evaluate, debate, and explore theatre in the comfort of our classrooms. We are also able to look behind the scenes with interviews and alternative versions of the same scenes, creating new topics for discussion. It allows students to watch (and rewatch!) scenes in preparation for specific aspects of their exams.

IB Theatre requires students to approach theatre from different perspectives - the director, sound designer, lighting designer, etc.,  so the interviews with industry specialists have also been really useful."

– Dan, Head of IB Theatre, UK
