Digital Theatre+ partners with Artsmark
Laurel Bibby
Creative Marketing Executive, Digital Theatre+
Engaging young people in world-class arts and culture is one of the major goals of Digital Theatre+. That’s why we’ve partnered with Artsmark to support schools and education settings working towards their Artsmark award.
Designed to celebrate an institution’s commitment to cultural education, and help embed arts, culture and creativity across the whole curriculum, the Artsmark award is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings in England. Accredited by Arts Council England, the award supports the health and wellbeing of pupils, and ensures that every young person can access a diverse and high quality cultural education.
As an Artsmark Partner, Digital Theatre+ can support schools and education settings on their Artsmark journey. From promoting a love of the arts to offering a valuable range of CPD resources, there are plenty of resources and opportunities on Digital Theatre+ to help enrich your arts and culture offering, all of which can be mapped to key Artsmark criteria:
- Values and ethos: promoting a lifelong love for learning and enjoyment of arts and culture
- Leadership: ongoing commitment to the quality of provision and breadth of arts and cultural education
- Children and young people engagement: demonstrating knowledge, skills, understanding and experience of high quality arts and cultural provision
- Curriculum design: providing a broad arts and cultural curriculum across the whole setting
- Range of offer: wide-ranging and high quality arts and cultural experience, both during and outside normal teaching hours
- Continued Professional Development: commitment to CPD across arts and culture
- Partnerships: working with a range of partners to deliver high quality arts and cultural education.
