Our friends at the National Youth Theatre (NYT) are searching for the brightest emerging talent in the UK for 2025 - could your students be the stars of tomorrow?

Every year, the NYT runs acting and theatre-making courses around the UK and online for young people ages 14-25.

About the Courses

Led by industry professionals, NYT Membership Courses focus on developing key theatre-
making and performance skills including voice, movement, characterisation, improvisation, text
work, and devising. Each course culminates in a sharing of devised work with family and friends.

After the course, participants become NYT members, giving them access to exclusive
opportunities including castings for NYT productions and professional shows, research and
development projects, free creative leadership and facilitation training, complimentary theatre
tickets, and more.

About School Audition Days

From January-March each year, NYT runs School Audition Days around the country in search
of emerging talent to become the next members of the theatre.

Led by one or two facilitators, students will participate in a bespoke 3-hour workshop focused on
devising and ensemble-building to introduce the NYT working method. Later in the day, students
perform a short monologue in a one-to-one audition with a facilitator who may work with them
on their piece if time allows.
