We've introduced new functionality to help you share resources with your students and colleagues more easily and allows you to set start and end times for shared resources, making it easier for you to assign homework related to a particular section of a production or to share your favorite resources with colleagues!
How does it work?
This new feature will be available across all resources on the full Digital Theatre+ platform, including all productions, video resources, recitals, and even written resources. On all productions and video resources, there will be an option to share within a set time frame of the piece allowing an easy and effective way to watch certain sections without having to fast-forward to find the scene or excerpt you need! A custom URL will be generated from the timestamps you put in, when opened, this URL will automatically start and end at the times selected.
How can I use it?
There’s a whole host of reasons why you or your organization might be interested in using this new feature. These could include:
- Easily allowing you to set work for students and to pinpoint the moments you wish for them to watch ahead of time.
- Sharing your favorite sections with fellow educators to help build the perfect lesson plans.
- Not only is this feature great for teachers, but students can also use this feature to help inform their learning. For example, if a student is unable to understand a scene, they can identify the exact start and end time of the scene and share this with peers or with their teacher to help deepen their understanding.
