Digital Theatre+ signs partnership with Liverpool Everyman Playhouse
We are delighted to be working with Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse to bring teachers and students around the world an exciting new range of productions and educational resources, available exclusively on Digital Theatre+.
This initiative, to digitally capture and distribute at least one piece of new writing annually, kicks off with the world premiere of Our Town Needs A Nandos by Samantha O’Rourke. This timely new production – which explores the world through the eyes of five teenagers living in a seaside town as they work together on a school drama project – is accompanied by exclusive insights into the role of stage management, to further enrich students’ study of the play.
Digital Theatre+ will be working with Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse to commission further educational content and behind-the-scenes resources especially for teachers and students, both in the UK and internationally.
Neelay Patel, CEO of Digital Theatre+ said:
“This is a really exciting partnership for us. Working together on initial ideas, the theatres allowing us to join their artistic planning meetings is incredibly fruitful. This collaborative approach enables us to provide a much richer experience and speaks to the unique value Digital Theatre+ can offer not just educators and students globally, but also to theatres and companies as they go on a digital journey.”
Mark Da Vanzo, CEO of Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse said:
“It’s a real pleasure to finally announce this new relationship, now we’ve signed a multi-year 'Heads of Terms’ agreement. We’re looking forward to collaborating with the Digital Theatre+ team in the long term, creating exciting new shows that can bring real educational benefit to schools here and globally.”
Through this collaboration, we are also pleased to provide schools in the Liverpool City Region with access to these exclusive productions and unique educational resources free of charge.
